About your presenters

Laura Bordewieck Rippy
Laura Bordewieck Rippy

Laura brings operational perspective as a CEO, Chairman, and executive in technology startups in addition to investing experience. As Managing Partner at Ripplecreek Partners’ technology practice and General Partner at FA Technology Ventures, she worked various tech sectors: mobile, consumer, internet, SaaS, cloud-based, marketing, and enterprise software across many economic cycles. She also served as CEO at Handango, creating the first marketplace of mobile apps. At Microsoft, she co-founded two businesses as an intra-preneur in an elite swat team spun out of Bill Gates’ office. Laura holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and AB in Government from Dartmouth (’89).

Dean Drizin
Dean Drizin

Investment Committee

Dean is Division Director, Corporate Development Joint Ventures and Acquisitions, at BAYADA Home Health Care. Previously, Dean was a Senior Principal at Green D Ventures, where he focused on deal sourcing, investment diligence, and portfolio management. Prior to Green D, Dean worked at Touchdown Ventures, where he helped lead a corporate venture capital fund for a health system in the southeastern United States. His experience spans investment banking, venture capital, and military service as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy. Dean holds a AB in Government from Dartmouth, an MBA in Health Care Management from Wharton, and an MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Meera Oak
Meera Oak

Meera’s background includes strategic, financial, and operational experience from her time at Yale University, where she managed a $1B budget (of a $4B organization), led M&A transactions, and secured business development relationships with corporate partners. Most recently, she worked with early-stage venture funds and incubators like Create Venture Studio and Polymath Capital Partners and was responsible for launching business ventures and sourcing investments in enterprise SaaS, infrastructure, and ecommerce. Meera has a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Darrin Wizst
Darrin Wizst

Darrin is an investment professional with an extensive background in financial services and B2B. Throughout his 25 year career, he has worked with individual investors, investment advisors and their clients, and institutional (foundations and endowments) clients, with various investment vehicles including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, socially responsible portfolios, and alternative investments. He earned a BA in Economics & Public Management from UMaine and an MBA from Boston College.
